By train (most popular)
Direct trains run from Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK). The Vande Bharat Express from New Delhi is the fastest, covering the journey in a day. Overnight express trains are also popular, since you arrive in Katra in the morning ready to register.

By air
Fly from Delhi to Jammu, then continue about 50 km to Katra by taxi, bus or train. See Reaching by air.
By road
The drive is roughly 650 km via the Grand Trunk Road / NH 44 through Haryana and Punjab (Panipat, Ambala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Pathankot) to Jammu. Near Jammu you can take the Kunjwani bypass straight towards Katra. Allow a long day, or break the journey. Overnight buses also run from Delhi to Katra and Jammu.
