Sanjichhat is a small plateau about 2.5 km short of the Holy Shrine. The upward climb on the old track ends here, and the scenic spot makes a welcome halt.
The Shrine Board has developed the area with a marble-paved platform, a shopping complex, toilets, a hospital (24 beds), a Bhojanalaya, accommodation at Mangla Bhawan, free halls and the helipad for the Katra–Sanjichhat helicopter service.
From Sanjichhat the track to the Bhawan is covered by shelters for much of its length.

Getting here
On foot or by pony along the old track from Adhkuwari, or by helicopter from Katra.
Tips
- From here the last 2.5 km to the Bhawan is level or gently downhill.
- Helicopter passengers walk or ride from here to the Bhawan.
