Patnitop is a hill resort on a plateau at about 2,024 m, on the old Jammu–Srinagar highway, about 112 km from Jammu. Wrapped in deodar and pine forest, it looks out over the Chenab basin.

Getting there

By road from Jammu or Katra. The highway tunnel between Chenani and Nashri bypasses Patnitop, so make sure your driver takes the old road through Kud and Patnitop.
